Supporting you so you can better support others.

reflective supervision for therapists | Snohomish, WA

Reflective Supervision & Consultation

My work is rooted in connection; I believe relationships are the hallmark and foundation of reflective supervision/consultation. By understanding the family story, holding the child in mind, professional use of self, parallel process, and reflective alliance, I strive to enhance individual growth and discovery about your work. Together we will co-create brave spaces to explore the impact of systemic inequities, implicit biases, power and privilege, social justice, and generational trauma on the families you work with and on yourselves.

  • Monthly & bi-monthly RS/C
  • RS/C for individuals and/or groups of 3-8 early childhood professionals worldwide (direct service providers, early childhood educators, home visitors, family resource coordinators, directors).
  • Groups meet virtually for 60 or 90 minutes, or in-person depending on location.

Parent-Child Relationship Services

I believe that supporting children means supporting parents. My goal is for you to better understand what is happening for your child beyond the behaviors, trust yourself in parenting, and help cultivate relationships through connection. Through therapy with you and your child, or without your child present, I will help you develop a greater understanding of your child’s behaviors and social emotional needs, become aware of your own needs, improve your relationship, and develop family resilience and harmony in your home.
  • $160/50-60 minute session
  • I am licensed to provide mental health services to residents of Washington state.
  • I accept credit and debit, including HSA/FSA. I do not bill to insurance; upon request, I will provide you with an invoice – called a “superbill”- each month. It contains all the information that most insurance companies require. Once you have this, you can provide it to your insurance company so that they may reimburse you for your payments.
  • Clients are seen via telehealth, in-person at my Snohomish office, and depending on location, I also provide home visits for an additional travel fee. Often, sessions can be a combination of all of the above. I offer telehealth through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • Bedtime is a challenge.
  • You struggle with your parent/child relationship, often wishing it were better.
  • Your child hits, kicks, and has frequent meltdowns – you do not know how to respond.
  • Parenting your baby or child brings up a lot of emotions for you.
  • You feel like you walk on eggshells to not upset your child.
  • Your child seems easily overwhelmed by the world.
  • The childcare provider frequently calls and sends letters home.
  • Your child can be physically aggressive with peers.
  • Non-compliant behaviors are your concerns.
  • You have been told that your child is too sensitive.
  • Your child has difficulty with expressing or regulating emotions.
  • You notice avoidant behaviors and clinginess around parents/caregivers.
  • Your child has an intense need for control and can be rigid or inflexible.
  • Nothing you are doing is working.
  • You are at a loss to how to connect with your baby or child.

If this resonates with you, you and your child might benefit from IECMH Therapy.

What is Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health?

Infant and early childhood mental health refers to the ability of babies and young children to experience emotions, develop relationships and thrive within the context of their relationships with others.

  • I work with families with children, 0-6y, and guide you in supporting your child versus working with your child individually. I work with you as the caregiver to understand what your child’s behavior is trying to communicate. Together, we will learn how to meet your child where they are at.
  • During our work, you will learn about the brain-body connection and we will explore your child’s stress responses. We will talk about the importance of self-regulation and co-regulation and you will learn strategies to support you in doing both.
  • Through conversations and/or play, you will gain an understanding of your child’s social-emotional needs.
  • This therapy is reflective, not directive. You will be guided by reflective questions. We will explore your own lived experience, and how family, culture, and community influence the expectations of parenting and childhood, and how to build upon these as sources of strength.
  • We will address the unique challenges of raising a neurodivergent child (i.e. ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, sensory processing, and other mental health and behavioral needs).
  • I am able to collaborate and work in communication with other providers such as your child’s occupational therapist, physical therapist, speech language pathologist, etc.
