About
Building strong communities.
My background.
I am licensed to provide mental health services in Washington state and am available for reflective consultation worldwide.
I transplanted to the beautiful Pacific Northwest in 1999 from Chicago and have now officially lived here longer than I have in the Midwest! The lush green, mountains, and endless opportunities to participate in the outdoors keeps me grounded here year after year. I am married and have 2 children and a mini Bernedoodle that keeps me on my toes.

I have been working with families of young children since 1999 working as a Child Life Specialist supporting families with children in the Hematology & Oncology unit. My desire to further and deepen my understanding of family systems and how it impacts relationships pushed me to obtain my Masters in Marriage & Family Therapy in 2006 from Seattle Pacific University. I have worked at an early support agency for 16 years committed to helping children, families and early childhood providers better understand the importance of social-emotional development and how strong, positive relationships can help children develop trust, empathy, compassion, and have a better sense of who they are.
I’m passionate about supporting relationships through connection. Exploring the depths of social-emotional health in the parent-child relationship is the cornerstone of my work. I completed a one-year Infant Mental Health certificate program from The Barnard Center at The University of Washington to immerse myself in understanding how interventions during the birth to six stage can have a powerful and lasting effect on young children and families. I support families and early childhood providers in developing the capacity to experience, regulate, express emotions and form close and secure interpersonal relationships.
I have additional training in Polyvagal Theory, Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN), Circle of Security Parenting, and Promoting First Relationships (PFR).
The experience and recovery from trauma, understanding its effects on young children and families, as well as healing is an important part of my work. Redefining and reimagining the parent-child relationship through dark moments is made possible through transformative work together. I continue to receive consultation and participate in continual professional development in order to deepen my practice and stay current.
I have provided Reflective Supervision/Consultation for early childhood professionals since 2017 and have worked in an early intervention center for 16 years as a direct service provider, mental health consultant, program manager, and trauma-informed trainer.
I contract with early support organizations to provide professional development and reflective consultation for groups and individuals wanting to deepen their trauma-informed practices and develop their work in supporting young children and families.
