What is SSP?

The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is a gentle, evidence-based listening program designed to help your nervous system feel safer, calmer, and more connected. Created by Dr. Stephen Porges and grounded in polyvagal theory, SSP uses specially filtered music to stimulate the vagus nerve—the part of your body that helps regulate stress, emotions, and social engagement.

Think of it as “neural exercise” for your nervous system. Over time, this practice can help reduce feelings of overwhelm, support emotional regulation, improve focus, and create more ease in relationships.

Who is SSP for?

Because SSP works at the level of the nervous system, it can support people of all ages—including children, parents/caregivers, and professionals.

To make it easy, we’ve created two pathways:

How I Offer SSP

I provide SSP as part of a supportive, relationship-centered approach. My services include:

Comprehensive Intake Session (60 minutes)

We’ll explore your goals, history, and needs so that your SSP experience feels safe and customized.

Access to All SSP Pathways (Core, Connect, Balance)

Depending on your needs, we’ll determine the right pathway for you—or combine them for the most benefit.

Guided Listening, Pacing & Support

SSP isn’t a “press play and go” program. I’ll walk with you through the process, adjusting pace and tools so your nervous system stays supported.

Monthly 1:1 Check-Ins (30 minutes, virtual)

Dedicated time to reflect, track progress, and integrate your experiences.

Weekly Touchpoints (email/text)

Light but consistent connection to keep you supported between sessions.

Neuro-Somatic Tools & Resources

You’ll receive simple practices to help regulate your body and anchor your progress beyond the listening sessions.

For parent/child dyads, I also offer “bundled support”, making SSP a shared experience that deepens connection while strengthening regulation for both.

Why Work With Me?

As a therapist, parent coach, and Safe & Sound Protocol provider, I bring more than just access to the program—I bring a nervous-system informed approach rooted in connection, compassion, and curiosity. My role is to help you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way, so SSP becomes a resource you can truly integrate into daily life.
